Theatre Hire Agreement

 

Times of Use

Unless otherwise agreed, the normal times of use are from 8.00am to 11.00pm.  Premises need to be vacated by 11pm, unless an extension has been granted to midnight.

 

Noise

Because the theatre is located in a residential area, functions using sound equipment must keep volumes down so that the noise is not evident from outside the building. 

 

Fire Precautions

One member of each user group must be designated as the Fire Warden and this person should be made familiar with the location of the fire extinguisher and be aware of all fire exits.

 

Preparation, Set Up and Clean Up

Users need to set up to their own requirements and return all items to their original positions after use.  Users should be aware of where the cleaning equipment is and leave the theatre in the same condition they found it.  Clean up must occur within the booked times.

 

Rubbish

Rubbish including food scraps and leftovers are to be removed from the premises.  Please bring own containers for carrying rubbish away.

 

Kitchen

If kitchen equipment and appliances are used, these must be wiped out after use.  The kitchen benches must be clean and the floor mopped if necessary.

If cleaning is not satisfactory, the committee reserves the right to charge for professional cleaning costs incurred, over and above any other fees charged.

Security

After use, all windows should be closed, all power and lights turned off and external doors locked.

 

Fixing notices, posters etc.

Only certain types of fixing as approved by committee should be used to put up posters and decorations.  This applies to all surfaces.

 

Caretaker Services

If a caretaker/committee member is required to be in attendance, or is called out during use, an extra payment depending on time with a minimum of $25 will be payable in addition to the rental.

 

Breakages or Damage

All breakages or damage must be reported to the Theatre key holder, the same day or the morning following an evening use.  Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the user.

 

Furniture & Equipment

Please treat furniture or equipment with care.

 

Alcohol

If a user intends to sell alcohol on the premises, they will need to obtain a licence from the DCC.

 

Access to back stage

Unless authorised by the Committee, no user is allowed access to the lighting box or backstage/wardrobe area. 

 

Cancellation of Booking

As soon as a user knows that it is not able to utilise the building, it should immediately advise the administrator so that any other potential user can be accommodated.

 

Payment of user charges

Payment of $100.00 should be made on or before the date of hire.  Payment can be made to Treasurer or by direct to Theatre Bank Account.  ANZ 06-0939-0013795-00
