18 year old high school dropout and gang
leader, Taylor, breaks into a house, the
home of retired SAS soldier, Peter Methune.
After being caught by Methune who is in the process of
renovating the house he agrees to help him with
painting, sanding etc on the condition he refrains from
his life of crime. He mentors him in how to renovate and
also shows him the error of his ways and encourages
him to make an honest living.
Methune also has life issues having just returned from deployment overseas but failing to inform his wife, he now faces a backlash.
The play consists of four characters - Methune, Sandy (his Wife), Taylor and Miri (his girlfriend). Written by Justin Eade (Central Otago man) it is a play about mentoring youth but also facing life’s challenges in relationships.
